NASCAR heads straight back to another intermediate track this week as the Pennzoil Oil 400 will feature a 1.5-mile race, which favors the Cup Series’ top motorists. But it presents a challenge compared to Atlanta Motor Speedway, in which Brad Keselowski won last week.

This track is much flatter than that of Atlanta and tire wear will probably be less of a problem. So, this week drivers like Kyle Larson, who had the fastest car on the track a week, might have less to worry about on that front.

However, the fact is, he has a chance to win this season from the start while weekly Keselowski sort of came from nowhere to win. Keselowski has three career wins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and has finished no worse than seventh over his past seven races there.

He has become the guy you look at when doing tests as he has a great opportunity.

But while we’d really like to select him, we are going to go with Martin Truex Jr., who is coming off of a second-place end in Atlanta and has finished third, fourth and first in his last three races in Nevada, respectively.
